The_Start.png
❖ In your beginning, you should take your time to discover what's new in our server and how to use basic features. Don't rush to level up, it's not a race!
Also, make sure to walk around the city and explore the NPCs before you start your adventures in Aeldra...

❖ As a welcome gift from us, you receive:
  • +9 Lv1 Equipment
  • Military Horse Book
  • Moon Elixir (M)
  • Sun Elixir (M)
  • Potion of Ascension (3h)
  • Panther Baby Seal (7 days)
  • Ring of Joy (7 days)
  • Boar Seal (7 days)
  • Buffi (7 days)
  • Starterpass
  • 10x Green Potion
  • 200x Bravery Cape
  • Cobra Outfit
  • Cobra Hairstyle

❖ At this point, your next steps should be obvious and pretty straight forward. Start Leveling up and exploring the village NPCs.

Smaller_Features.png
❖ By opening your Inventory (I), you should see the 3 new Quick Access Buttons in the top right corner of it. Let's see what they are. Smaller_Features.png
  • storerooms.png The first one opens your Storerooms. There are 5 different Storerooms: Materials.png Materials, books.png Books, stones.png Stones, Enchants.png Enchants & costumes.png Costumes. Items that you collect will be automatically assigned to a storeroom to keep your inventory clear and organized.
  • shop_search.png The second button opens the Shop Search. This will be your favorite feature, since you'll use it all the time. It searchers all around, finds the item that you want in the best price & lets you buy it without a lot of troubles. Click on the name of the item you searched to mark the location of theshop. Give it a try, it's free...
    shop_search_open.png
  • enchants_button.png The last button opens the Switch Bot. Things are simple here. Drag and drop an item, choose the bonuses you want and let the system roll it until you have them.
    Switch_bot.png
Monster Information Tab:
For your own convenience, we have added a monster information tab, where you can read useful details regarding a monster or a metinstone.
Monster_Info_tab.png
F6 Shortcut - Quest Timer:
We have designed a unique tab to gather as much information as possible and make it super functional. By pressing the F6 button, you have it infront of your eyes. Now you'll find your Biologist Missions and your dungeons' entrances & cooldowns. Super cool huh? Use it to check timers & teleport to places.
Quest_Timer_Tab.png
Vote4Buff:
By now, you might have noticed that you have a mission called "Vote4Buff". By logging in our website you can vote our server and receive a 24 hours buff from your panel. Don't worry... After 24h, you can repeat the process to enjoy permanently 1 of the following buffs: 20% Experience Bonus, 20% Monsters, 20% Increased Item drop.
Vote4Buff.png
Private Shop:
You have surely noticed there's a Private_Shop.png Shop button in your Inventory. With 100.000 yang, you can open a Shop. From there, you can sell items without even being online. Just add them there and wait for someone to make you rich.

Leveling_Paths.png

Here are the leveling paths which at the moment are the most viable and easy ways to level up yourself:

1Lv - 30Lv :
Shinsoo & Yajang, Chunjo & Bokjung, Jinno & Bakra.
  • The goal during this level range is pretty much one: Get 30Lv as fast as possible. There's pretty much nothing serious to accomplish and the maps are unchanged. It won't take long until you reach that point.
30Lv - 42Lv :
Valley.png Valley of Seungryong: In the center of the map, you'll find spare Metin Stones and Black Orcs to provide you enough experience.
spider1.png Spider Dungeon 1 & 2 : Monsters here are more dealing more damage (compared to Valley of Seungryong) but carry more Experience.

42Lv - 61Lv :
Hwang_Temple.png Hwang Temple: Inside the Temple, there are quite a lot of Metin Stones, which will grant you yang and valueable item drops.
Mount_Sohan.png Mount Sohan: Same as Hwang Temple, but here monsters are more weak and Metin stones will drop enough +4 Stones.
spider1.png Spider Dungeon 2 & 3 : If you're not intrested in yang or item drops, here's the place to quickly level up your character.

61Lv - 81Lv :
Ghost Forest.png Ghost Woods: Taking your time and farming in Ghost Woods is preferred than leveling up, because of the yang you can acquire here.
Red_Forest.png Red Forest: Same as Ghost Woods, but monsters are quite more aggresive here. This must be your yang paradise.
spider1.png Spider Dungeon 3: This is a EXP-only place. Faster than both of the previous maps.

81Lv - 90Lv :
Grotto.png Grotto of Exile 1 & 2: If again, you're not intrested in yang and item drops, this is the perfect place to stay.
Red_Forest.png Red Forest: Continues to be the most valuable map at the moment.

90Lv - 105Lv :
Bay.png Nephrite Bay: This map will grant you even more yangs and rune items will start to appear from the Metin stones.
The available Metin Stones are: Metin of Vanity, Metin of Gloom, Metin of Ember.
cape.png Cape Dragon Fire: Same as Nephrite Bay but this map also has a Village with useful NPCs. Take a look...
The available Metin Stones are: Metin of Gloom, Metin of Ember.
thunder.png Thunder Mountains: Same as the previous maps. A pretty decent yang dropping with some hidden beta bosses.
The available Metin Stones are: Metin of Wrath, Metin of Calamity
nephrite.png Guatama Cliff: Same as the previous maps.
The available Metin Stones are: Metin of Wrath, Metin of Malice.

Grotto.png Grotto of Exile 2: If again, you're not intrested in yang and item drops, this is the perfect place to level up.

105Lv - 115Lv :
This leveling path will be discussed later on in the guide...

How to upgrade Dragon Stones
  • As mentioned before, a max Dragon Stone has all 4 aspects maxed out. To start off, you need to maximize them in the correct order: Class -> Clarity -> Level.
  • To upgrade the class of a Dragon Stone, you need more Dragon Stones of the same class.
Put the needed dragon stone in the appropriate slots and click "Refine" or "Refine All".
Once your Dragon Stone becomes Legendary, you can start upgrading it's clarity.

  • To upgrade the clarity of a Dragon Stone, you need more Dragon Stones of the same clarity.
Put the needed dragon stone in the appropriate slots and click "Refine".
Once your Dragon Stone becomes Excellent, you can start upgrading it's level.

  • To upgrade the level of a Dragon Stone you need a
    Green Dragon Bean or
    Blue Dragon Bean or
    Pink Dragon Bean.
Put the bean and one dragon stone in the appropriate slots and select "Refine".
The process can fail and in this case the level of the Dragon Stone will be reduced by 1. Note that Blue and Pink Dragon Beans have higher success rate, but they still drop the level of the dragon stone in case of a fail.

How to refill Dragon Stone's duration
  • Tongs of Time will allow you to create a
    Time Elixir (S).
To create it you have to drag it on a non equipped Dragon Soul Stone (the stone will be removed from your DSS inventory and the elixir will appear in your inventory). This process can fail.
  • You can also obtain
Time Elixir (L) as a reward from:
    Golden Decimus Chest
Battlepass of the Tree (Mission: 'Mermaid Island')
    Mission Book (hard)
    Kawuco
    King of the Crystal Dragons

  • When the time runs out in a Dragon Stone, it becomes unusable and you stop receiving it's bonuses. It doesn't disappear.

Shoulder_Sash_System.png
A shoulder sash is a piece of visible equipment, familiar to most of Aeldra players. The shoulder sash is equipped in the costume system tab, which opens with the costume system button on the player's inventory. A shoulder sash is permanent and can be equipped from Lv1. Let's get right into the details:

Master Sash
  • A
Master Sash (basic) can be obtained by exchanging 10x
    Fine Cloths at Theowahdan.
Collect 1x Fine Cloth every 3 hours from the Captain and at 10 Fine Cloths, exchange them for a Master Sash (basic) from Theowahdan.

  • Master Sash(custom) absorbtion rate is 11 - 25%.

  • In addition, Fine Cloth drop from:
    Death Reaper

    Azrael
    Beran Setaou
    Razador
    Nemere
    En-tai Light
    Shadow King
    King of the Crystal Dragons

    Desert Tortoise Chest
    Flame King's Chest
    Yellow Tiger Chest
    Queen Meley's Chest
    Dragon Watcher's Chest

    Golden Fish Chest.

So, don't worry... You'll have plenty to exchange.
Also, a Master Sash (basic) can be obtained as a reward from the Mission Book (hard), Mission Book (expert), Mission Book (royal) and Golden Decimus Chest.

  • The Christmas Sash was part of a special Item Shop offer from 1.12.2018 - 24.12.2018. It belongs to the museum nowadays...

How to improve a shoulder sash
  • A shoulder sash has 4 different grades of quality: basic, fine, noble and custom.
  • Sashes of the same grade of quality can be combined to craft a higher quality sash, although this process can fail. When it does so, the second sash in the Combination Window is destroyed.
  • The Combination Window is reachable through the "Combination" option from Theowahdan. Drag and drop or Alt+Right click on a sash to add it to the Combination Window. Sashes added there will be highlighted in the inventory.
  • A custom sash can be improved by combining it with another custom sash (any type). The improvement, if successfull, will increase the absorbtion rate from 1 to 5%

How to absorb a Weapon/Armor into your Sash
  • You can use a sash to absorb the bonus from any weapon or armor. The armor or weapon used to be absorbed WILL BE DESTROYED.
  • Basic Sashes absorb 1% of the bonus from an armor or weapon.
  • Fine Sashes absorb 5% of the bonus from an armor or weapon.
  • Noble Sashes absorb 10% of the bonus from an armor or weapon.
  • Custom Sashes absorb 11% - 25% of the bonus from an armor or weapon.
  • The Bonus Absorption Window is reachable through the "Bonus Absorption" option from Theowahdan. Place the Sash in the left slot, the weapon or armour in the right slot, and you can see the final result in the bottom.
  • The process will transfer the % of both bonuses and stats of the Weapon/Armor to the sash (All the decimal digits are rounded decreasingly.)

How to remove the bonuses from a Sash
  • Say that you made a mistake and absorbed the wrong Armor/Weapon to your Sash. Happens to everyone... or not.
  • Well, in that case, you cannot get your armor/weapon back but you can clear the bonuses from your Shoulder Sash with a
    Certificate of Reversal.

Costume Sashes
  • A Costume Sash is a valueable piece of equipment to decorate your normal sash with some useful bonuses on it.
The costume sash is equipped in the costume system tab, which opens with the costume system button on the player's inventory.

Different Types of Costume Sashes
  • Costume Sashes represent the 12 Gods of the Chinese Zodiac and therefore are the following available Costume Sashes:
    Sash of Zi
    Sash of Chou
    Sash of Yin
    Sash of Mao
    Sash of Chen
    Sash of Si
    Sash of Wu
    Sash of Wei
    Sash of Shen
    Sash of Yu
    Sash of Xu
    Sash of Hai
    highlighted_slot_1.png Angel Wings
    Wings of Archangel
    highlighted_slot_1.png Devil Wings
    Wings of the Demon

  • Each type has 4 different grades: (basic), (fine), (noble), (custom)

How to obtain a Costume Sash
  • Costume Sashes are sold from the Theowahdan 'Sash Shop' and they require 25x
Fine Cloth and 5x of the corresponding Medallion.
For example, to buy a Sash of Hai (basic) you need 5x Hai Medallion and 25x Fine Cloth.
  • The corresponding Medallions are dropped from the final boss of each portal of the Zodiac Temple.
  • Angel & Devil Wings are excluded. At their (basic) grade, they are obtained from special Angel VS Devom Events.

How to combine a Costume Sash
  • The combination process is pretty much the same as the one from the Shoulder Sash System.
  • Costume Sashes of the same grade of quality can be combined to craft a higher quality costume sash, although this process can fail.
When it does so, the second costume sash in the Combination Window is destroyed.
  • The Combination Window is reachable through the "Combination" option from Theowahdan.
Drag and drop or Alt+Right click on a costume sash to add it to the Combination Window.
  • Costume Sashes added there will be highlighted in the inventory.
  • Angel & Devil Wings can also be combined with costume sashes of the same grade but different type.

Bonuses
  • PvM Bonuses - Dream Stones:
There are 5 different grades of a Dream Stone, each providing a PvM bonus to your costume sash.
Dream Soul Stones (dropped from Wukong's Temple metinstones) can be exchanged for a Dream Soul from Chuk-Sal (Wukong's Temple).
Dream Souls of the same grade can be combined to craft a higher quality Dream Stone from Chuk-Sal (Wukong's Temple).

Sky Souls of the same grade can be combined to craft a higher quality Sky Stone from Chuk-Sal (Wukong's Temple).

Prunous Enchanting

  • You can switch the bonuses of a costume sash using a Prunous Enchanting. This will switch all available bonuses in the Costume Sash.

How to transfer the bonuses of a Costume Sash
  • You can transfer the bonuses of a Costume Sash to another using a
    Costume Bonus Transfer at Theowahdan.
  • The costume in the left slot will be emptied and the bonuses will be transfered to the costume in the right slot.

Lore
Over the past decades, knowledge of the Runes began to spread around Aeldra, as more were unearthed. The world's brightest minds, shamans, have studied thoroughly the ancient glyphs, collected information from the depths of the history and attempted to gather and determine the powers that they could possess. The sheer power held within them, was nowhere close to being translated and manipulated by our hands. Some surmised that their powers lured Jotun Thrym into the, as of today known, world of Aeldra. Those we managed to subdue are the ones nowdays people are using. Who knows what else is left in the depths of Metin2.

Introduction of the Rune System
The system allows players to customize their character growth for specific tasks, such as PvP & PvM, by choosing from a wide variety of Runes. You can reach the system through the F5 shortcut.
  • Primary Trees
There are 5 different Primary Trees that the player can choose to work on:
    Precision.png Precision, dominance.png Dominance, Magic.png Magic, determination.png Determination & inspiration.png Inspiration.
After the player has picked his Primary Tree, he selects a Key Rune and 3 more runes to complete his tree based on his needs.

  • Secondary Trees
Secondary Trees are combined with the Primary Trees to forge a complete Rune Page.
The player picks another tree to combine and then selects 2 runes from that tree(Key Runes excluded)

  • Control Buttons
In the top right corner of the Rune System Tab, you can find 4 control buttons:
    Runes_Reset.png Reset
    Runes_Reset_Points.png Reset Points
    Runes_Buy_Points.png Buy Points
    Runes_Save.png Save.
In the bottom right corner of the Rune System Tab, you can find the Rune System Tutorial along with the 4 available Rune Pages.
To switch between the Trees, click on the Tree Icon on the top before you save the Rune Page.
When all 6 runes have bee unlocked and selected, you can save the current Rune Page to apply it to your character.
Saved Runes can be reset with the Runes_Reset_Points.png 'Reset Points' button and saved Rune Pages can be reset with the "Reset" button.
Runes that are active appear in your affect list, in the top left corner of your screen.

  • How to unlock runes?
To unlock a Key Rune (or a normal rune), you need 12 Rune Points.

    Rune Points:
You can buy 1 Rune Point through the Runes_Buy_Points.png 'Buy Points' button in the top right corner of the Rune System Tab.
In the beginning and until you have 145 Rune Points, a Rune Point will require items from the 110Lv metin stones, in the 90Lv maps & 6.000.000 yang.
After the 145th Rune Point and until the 720th Rune Point (max), Rune Points will require items from the Metin of the Tree Beings, in 105Lv maps & 6.000.000 yang.
    Runes_Buy_Points_Tutorial.png

    Unlocking & Selecting a Rune:

When you have 12 points available, click on the Rune you would like to unlock.
After that, select the rune with the left mouse button and then press Runes_Save.png 'Save' for the bonuses to apply.
Attention: Now your page is saved and you cannot swap trees. If you'd like so, go the the second Rune Page and start over.

  • Frequently Used Tree Paths & Pro Tips

PvM popular Tree Path (for metin stones):

Primary Tree: Dominance → Soul Robbery, Monster, Boss, Metin.
Secondary Tree: Precision → Average Damage, Critical Damage.

PvM popular Tree Path (for bosses):

For boss farming, you usually go with the tree path for metin stones and you change the "Metin" and the others to the most convenient Rune.
For example: During a Zodiac Temple run, it's easier if you switch "Metin" to "Zodiac" rune and so on...

    💡 Pro Tips:

    - When killing a boss, switching to 'Thief' and 'Itemdrop' runes in another Rune Page at the last moment will maximize your chances for loot.
    - The Rune 'Reinforced Dew Potions' should be used before you enable dews in order to receive greater amount of buffs.
    - You need 1140 pieces of each item from the 90Lv maps & 3450 pieces of each item from the 105Lv maps to unlock all the available Lv1 runes.
    - As soon as you unlock 12/12 runes from your Primary Tree, you also receive a bonus of 15% Strong against Half Human & 10% Defense against Half Human.

  • How to upgrade Runes?

Having all the available runes unlocked, will grant you access to Lv2 runes. By clicking the (+) button you can upgrade a specific rune to Lv2, giving you enhanced bonuses (Key Runes excluded).
Rune Description & Stats

  • The Domination Tree is frequently used for PvM purposes, as it strengthens your attacks against monsters.

    Attack = Defense (Key Rune)

If you attack a player with a skill or a basic attack, you charges an inactive normal shield. Once this inactive shield reached its capacity, it becomes active, and depletes as you receive damage. Once the shield is depleted, you can charge it again. Normal attacks generate 100 inactive shield, skills generate 200 inactive shield.

    -

The inactive shield has no indicator even when depleted, but it's there anyway. Make use of it in PvP.

Terminology

  • Basic Attack:
Every single attack made with your weapons or bare hands counts as basic attack. One basic attack starts when the attack animation begins, and ends when the attack animation is finished.Every weapon type (including fists) except the daggers do one attack animation when you hit the space one time (of course if you hold the space down your character does multiple attack animation depending on your active combo skill and the weapon you use).
Daggers do two attack animations during one hit, so it counts as 2 basic attacks.
If your basic attack does not hit any type of character, or the basic attack is blocked or dodged, it does not counts as basic attack.
If you deal damage to multiple targets under one attack animation, it still counts as maximum 1 (2 if using daggers) basic attack (if all of your targets block or dodge that attack, it counts as 0, but if at least one of the targets can not block or can not dodge the attack, it counts as maximum.

  • Skill Attack/Use:
In the rest of the guide we only use the phrase skill for those non basic attack abilities that deals non negative damage to one or more targets (excluding your character). Every wave of damage counts as one skill.
However, one wave of damage counts only once no matter how much target it hits. (If it does not hit any target, it counts as 0.)
Spirit Flame counts as a skill every time a flame leaves the caster and deals damage to one or more target (still only counts as one skill per flame).
Some skills have more wave of damage, for example the Three Way Cut counts as 3 skills.

  • Out of combat:
A character considered as out of combat if it does not receive any type of positive damage for a short period. The damage is checked after the resistances.

  • In combat:
The exact and full opposite of "out of combat", so if you are not "out of combat", you are "in combat".

  • Shield or Magic shield:
With this new runes we introduce a new element in the game called shields.
We distinguish two types of shields: Magic shields, Normal shields.
Magic shields only mitigate magic damages, normal shields mitigate every type of damage.
Also shields have two different status: Active, Inactive

  • Shield Function:
The mechanics of the shields is very simple: When you are about to receive damage, the damage will be mitigated by your active shields. So if you have 1000 active normal shield and you receive 800 damage, you will lose 800 active normal shield, but you will not lose any HP.
The damage to the shields is always calculated after the resistances, so for example the damage will be mitigated by the sura's black shield first. If you have active magic shield and active normal shield and you receive magic damage, the damage will be mitigated by the magic shield first.

  • True Damage:
This is a new type of damage which ignores all type of resistances/defences. This damage can only be mitigated by active normal shields. However, the Debuff of the Hydra in the ship defense dungeon is applied to this type of damage too.

  • Base Maximum Health:
Your maximum health without any kind of bonus.

  • Disconnecting, teleport or changing runes will reset your rune related stats, including all types of shields. Only the collected boss Souls (from Soul Robbery) are saved.

We have come to the end of this guide. I hope you liked it and I really didn't miss any point of the server. If I did miss any, feel free to comment below and I will add it. It would be boring to mention all the resources used for this guide, because they are so many. So, have fun...
